My client is seeking an experienced building services engineer for a foot mobile poistion in Central London. The ideal candidate will be very client facing as well as having a proven track record in Maintenance. You be fully able to work independently, reliable, organised and have sound technical ability. You must be either fully qualified electrically or a fully qualified Air Conditioning engineer, with recognised qualifications. Job Description: The role of the Site Supervisor is to participate and assist Facilities Management in providing optimal customer relations and the operations and maintenance of building structures, equipment and finishes. The role includes supervising and co-ordinating all activities of workers engaged in maintaining and repairing the systems to a high standard. The successful candidate will need to possess excellent communication skills and demonstrate professional behaviours at all times. The successful candidate will have a proven track record as a Supervisor crucially with good knowledge of both M&E maintenance ideally within a corporate environment. The role requires organisational and administrative expertise for managing a team of subordinates. Roles and Responsibilities: - Monitor and coordinate the work of contractors and subcontractors from instruction to completion. - Respond to employee complaints, issues and concerns. - Ensure safe work practices and work environment and conducts safety training program. - Direct and develop employees to perform maintenance activities and tasks. - Assist Engineers in troubleshooting complex maintenance problems. - Communicate to facility management any information affecting or having the potential to affect customer relations or employee relations. - Administrate and communicate to employees company, and customer's policies and procedures. - Administrate reactive maintenance/repair schedule. - Record and evaluate preventive maintenance activities and programs. - Administrate preventive maintenance schedule - Complete required site logs and reports. - Compile budget estimates for future planned maintenance programmes. Experience Required: - Ability to keep detailed records of activities performed. - Ability to read and understand blueprints and drawings. - Knowledge of the equipment, tools and materials used in building maintenance. - Knowledge of the methods, practices and techniques of maintaining building and facilities. - Knowledge and awareness of Client’s in house procedures - Previous experience supervising other trades or maintenance personnel. - Knowledge using BMS (Trend 963) - Experience with Philips Lighting System Qualification Requirements: - 17th Edition or Equivalent - IOSH - Water Hygiene Trained - PASMA Trained - Confined Space Awareness

The Role The Technical Services Manager will be directly responsible for the provision of mechanical, electrical and fabric services in a large shopping centre. The manager will ensure that the highest standards of management and maintenance of the properties and servicing to the occupiers are provided having regard to expenditure considerations. Accountabilities • To ensure that on-site management of the properties are undertaken in accordance with the clients Best Practice Manual. • To assist the Property Management team in the financial management of the property. • Establish and maintain high quality health and safety arrangements, in accordance with best practice guidelines. To ensure all risks identified in the independent Risk Assessment are properly addressed and to review risks as part of the audit process and Site Compliance inspections. • To be familiar with all heating, ventilating, mechanical and electrical equipment in the centre and have a sound understanding of the purpose and general working of such equipment. To ensure maintenance contracts in place to cover O&M manual requirements. Location: Croydon Brief Job Description: Working as Site Manager on a portfolio of commercial buildings in Croydon, acting as a link between head office and our client and tenant. Reporting directly into an account manager, you will be the most senior person on site for this maintenance contractor. Managing the services to the site including all plant and systems, using external contractors, making sure that all health and safety codes are followed including carrying out risk assessments and inductions. Providing out of hours cover for emergencies. Making sure that the site meets health and safety standards using a PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) system. Duties Include: • Supervising a team of 10 engineers based across 5 buildings in Croydon • Working very closely with line manager and on-site building manager on a daily basis • Issuing planned maintenance works and work permits • Carrying out risk assessments • Health and Safety checks on all sites • Preparing quotations for works to be carried • Attending meetings with client • Invoicing and managing work in progress • Organising and overseeing major electrical shutdowns • Small installation works Skills and Experience: Technically qualified in either an electrical or mechanical discipline, you should have both strong man management experiences alongside a proven track record within the maintenance industry.
